Zenary is a multipurpose mass timber pavilion located in Waterloo Park. Designed with weatherability in mind, Zenary addresses the lack of leisure space by offering sheltered seating and shading for parkgoers. The structure also aims to renew the landscape of Waterloo Park with the addition of a recognizable park frontage.
The foundation and flooring of Zenary is constructed with concrete, while the branches and benches are crafted with Glulam to take advantage of its exceptional structral performance and resistance to the elements. The roof is installed with custom polycarbonate panels that are designed to reduce heat gain while maximizing sunlight.
